Research output: Non-textual form › Sound Recording

Abstract

Commissioned by Michael Whight for Oscar Whight
Played by Oscar Whight (trumpet) and Zeynep Özsuca (piano).
Speakeasy is a sequence of five linked movements, each one being
a loose variant or continuance of the one before.
1) Boulevardier
2) Agro Dolce
3) Manhattan
4) Vesper
5) Forever Young
For nearly a year, in order to retain a vestige of sanity during lockdown, a group
of us has been meeting every Thursday for virtual 'cocktails' via Zoom.
Speakeasy is in part a little memento for Dobrinka, Ben, Tansy, Clark, Lore,
Daniel, Cheryl - and the many others who pop in from time to time!
