Abstract
A book of pieces and preliminary exercises that extend the sound world and techniques used by the French Horn in a way that is accessible to post grade 8 students and above. The inspiration for these pieces will be vocal styles from a range of cultures & genres, such as North Indian Classical Music, Scottish Folk Singing and Byzantine Chant. Project to involve data collection with UK Conservatoire tutors and horn students through feedback on pieces and workshops.
