Small specialist institutions in the creative and performing arts use Pure to pursue common strategic research goals, from innovating and archiving to engaging audiences and supporting new artists – as well as staying compliant with funders. They also encounter similar challenges when implementing Pure, in a broader environment that is largely shaped by the needs of large, multi-faculty institutions. Pure can be effectively tailored for practice-based research and outputs in the creative and performing arts – but with so many configurations to consider, where should Administrators start? This presentation addresses four key areas: configuring types; disabling features; the Pure Portal; and metrics.
