Activity: Talk, presentation, and live performance › Premiere / performance / showcase of practice-based output
Description
Agar is a collaborative project led by artist-researchers Griffith Rees, Daniel Jones, and Andrew Elliot. The project centres around a web-based application exploring creative participation with the use of AI in music. The application invites people, with or without prior experience of creating music and/or playing an instrument, to participate in the composition process through interacting with an UI interface and collaborative AI agents.
The performance at Storytellers + Machines conference 2026 was a collective compositional experiment, with conference participants interacting with the platform before the resultant score was handed to UnHeard Manchester (Bofan Ma and Johanna Leung) for a live interpretation of the group composition in a concert setting.
